Because for a long time women have been seen more as subjects than protagonists in art.
Because they are artists in their own right.
Because women are original, incredible, and know how to show their opinions about society, the world, nature, and much more!
Because in every corner, a lens can capture an unforgettable image.
Because photo montages leave room for an infinite number of possibilities.
Because women need visibility and space to show their world.

For all these reasons, the exhibition ELLES MITRAILLENT, already in its second year after exhibitions in Paris, London and Zurich, is presenting a new project for 2023.

30 female photographers from Belgium, Brazil, Dubai, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Venezuela and other nationalities will present a selection of photographs on the theme of water.

Why "AQUA"? Because we believe that water is a priceless common good, essential to life on our blue planet, and that we must raise awareness of its importance.

Our photographers have selected their photographs, each with their own perspective, to express the importance of this precious resource that must be preserved.

We will talk about the oceans, freshwater reserves, Antarctica, the strength and delicacy of all these themes in images and in the same exhibition.

Printed on large fabric panels, the photographs will recall the lightness and fluidity of this element, reaching the mind and enriching the visitors' experience.

How to participate

We will be in Lisbon from June 9 to 24 at the Vasco Da Gama shopping center.

Why start in Lisbon? Because the location of the exhibition will be in front of the Tagus River, near the Lisbon Oceanarium, and because for the Portuguese, the oceans have always been connected to their essence, to their history.
